Schedule Payment Reminders

 

Invoice2go payment reminders allow you to schedule automatic email reminders to let your customers know it's time to pay the invoices you've sent them.

Once a payment reminder is set up for an invoice, each reminder is then scheduled when you email an invoice to your customer; previewing or printing will not schedule reminders. If you change the due date of the invoice and resend it to your customer, reminders will reschedule accordingly.

The payment reminders default settings will schedule reminders to be sent out 3 days before the invoice due date and 3 after the invoice due date. The timing of your payment reminders can be managed in "Payment Options" within settings.

You have the following options to schedule payment reminders:

  • 3 days before invoice is due 
  • On invoice due date
  • 3 days after invoice is due 
  • 7 days after invoice is due

In order for any payment reminder to be scheduled, you must provide a valid email address for your customer. Once scheduled, all reminders will be emailed to your customers at 7 a.m. locally their time.

If your invoice has a payment reminder scheduled, you will receive a notification the day before the reminder is set to send in case you want to cancel it.

Scheduled payment reminders will not be sent to your customer once an invoice has already been marked as fully paid, either manually or paid through the Invoice2go debit and credit card payment option.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Tap on the Invoices folder
  2. Tap on the invoice you want to schedule a payment reminder for
  3. Tap on the client area
  4. Enter a valid email address for the client
  5. Turn on Payment Reminders
  6. Tap Save
  7. Email the invoice

  1. Tap on the Invoices folder
  2. Tap on the invoice you want to schedule a payment reminder for
  3. Tap on the client area
  4. Enter a valid email address for the client
  5. Turn on Payment Reminders
  6. Tap Save
  7. Email the invoice

  4. Turn on Payment Reminders

To use Payment Reminders, you must have a Pro, Enterprise, or Unlimited subscription plan. If you are on the Invoice2go Starter plan, upgrade to use Payment Reminders.
