Scanning and adding an item to your invoice

You can scan a barcode using the Invoice2go app and the camera of your mobile device to add products to your invoice or product list. You will need to have the Product Code enabled in the settings section of your account. 

To Enable Product Code

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on Options
  3. Enable the Product Code option

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Tap on Item or on the Add Item button.
  3. Tap on Code.
  4. Tap on the Barcode button.
  5. Scan the item barcode using the camera of your device. It will automatically detect the barcode and add it to the Code field.
  6. Enter a description for the item. The item details will automatically display when already saved to the Product List.
  7. Tap on Next.
  8. Enter the item details.
  9. Tap on Done.

If you have already scanned and saved an item to your Product List, tap on Pick from Product List. Then tap on the Scan button in the top right-hand corner to scan the barcode of your item and add it to the invoice.

Android

  1. Open the invoice.
  2. Tap on Item or on the Add Item button.
  3. Tap on the Barcode button.
  4. Scan the item barcode using the camera of your device. It will automatically detect the barcode and add it to the Code field.
  5. Enter the item details. The item details will automatically display when already saved to the Product List.
  6. Tap on Save.
